Black Oath has written the 3rd chapter in the shape of “The 3rd Aeon”!
Continuing to build on the foundations already laid with the previous releases, “The 3rd Aeon” shows the band venturing further into the deepest Darkness.
From the opening riff of “Death as Liberation” to the end of the 11-minute “The Black Oath”, the album enchants with a seldom heard mournful melancholy which at the same time never loses the profound occult atmosphere and flair for the macabre and profane.
While each track stands out in its own way, “The 3rd Aeon” retains a constant flow throughout the album’s entirety, and with the intense gloom with which the album is slowly dooming every sense of the listener, it stands clear that only the darkest of souls could conjure up such an album.
Rooted mainly (but certainly not only) in Doom Metal, its origins and the Italian “Dark Sound”, naming references seems pointless as the album further cements the unique style of Black Oath already celebrated on previous releases!
